Ryan Paterson is a Technical Artist and 3D Generalist based in New York City. He specializes in creating procedural assets, landscapes, and tools using Houdini and Python for maximum flexibility. A proud, lifelong nerd, he's an avid technologist and is always eager to learn how to embrace the newest experimental software, hardware, and design thinking.

His short films have been featured in film festivals and awarded in competition. Many projects he's been involved with have been featured on TV, the web, giant public screens, concert venues, and very popular streaming services.

His main software capabilities are (in order of preference): Houdini, Unreal Engine, Nuke, Cinema4D, and After Effects.
Offline rendering with Redshift, Octane, and Karma. Programming/scripting using Python and VEX.
